As a year closes and we welcome in a new year, I like to re-evaluate my goals, dreams, and resolutions…
I like to look at this quote calendar I have on my fridge every morning. The last quote from December 2012 really resonates with me; here it is:
“your journey has molded
you for your greater good,
and it was exactly what it needed to be.
don’t think that you’ve lost time.
it took each and every
situation you have encountered
to bring you to the now
and the now is right on time.” – Asha Tyson
This year I promise to live more in the moment, to try not to be a continual cycle of multi-“doing”, while not being present for the now!!!
I promise to surround myself with people who believe in me, support me, and help me grow as a woman.
I promise to trust my instincts more. I promise to learn from my past. I promise to believe in my future, that I am doing EXACTLY what I was meant to do!
I promise to make time for myself, to either run, write, or just flip through a magazine, because I realize “me” time makes me a better wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
I promise to not just think about these things for a day, or week after setting these promises to myself, but make them about a lifetime!
