Welcome to the #FeatureFriday where we are

SHINING LIGHT

on some of the amazing women in our world!

We started our #FeatureFriday series to highlight some of the amazing women we are honored to know and want the world to know about them too!  Our feature this week is Connie Stark founder of the Art of Wellness!  I am so excited for you all to meet Connie and learn more about the Art of Wellness!  I think you will tell by Connie’s answers, how passionate she is about helping others, and what a caring spirit she is!

Meet Connie 🙂

Tell us a little about Art of Wellness and your mission. How did you come up with the concept and how hard was it to get started?

1. What was the moment you knew you wanted to do Art of Wellness?

“Never leave a person alone in a room crying for the wrong reason”

“I want my clients to know that when you are in crisis, there IS life. You have to tap into it and have someone help you through it.” The words of a physical “diagnosis” or “prognosis” can fall heavily upon our spirit and easily crush all hope. At age 26, doctors told me that due to my accident, I may never walk without assistance, or carry a pregnancy to term. I made the decision that I was more than my diagnosis. Compelled by my sheer determination, I did what I needed to do to get where I am today. I am now that professional person that I always needed throughout my journey that was never there. Both my professional nursing and personal experiences provide me the wisdom to understand the pain of infertility struggles and the effects of a discouraging diagnosis. When couples feel pressure to conceive, it can be destructive to the body, mind and spirit. Nurturing greater mind and body awareness, wellness and health can free people from negativity with life changing results. Know that you are more than your diagnosis. I have seen the effects of health and wellness on fertility and know there is hope for everyone.

2. What one Art of Wellness post/project/moment are you the most proud of and why?

When a woman says “thank-you” with a warm hug and tears in her eyes appreciative for the years spent together. .leaves without a pregnancy, but with resolution to journey into her next phase of life. .feeling sad, prepared and relieved!!

My favorite ART OF WELLNESS project is WELLNESS GROUPS. Bringing together a group of people from all walks of life coming together learning strategies on how to be their best self throughout their paths towards pregnancy while connecting and sustaining relationships with each other.
